Default William Trowbridge, CAL FIRE Division Chief Tulare

From Dept. e-mail:

Quote:
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of retired Tulare Unit Division Chief Bill Trowbridge.* Bill lost his valiant battle with cancer on Saturday afternoon.
Chief Trowbridge retired from CDF in 2000 with 38 years of service, the ‘last’ 26 in Tulare Unit.* Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia is handling the arrangements.** Information on arrangements will be released as it becomes available.
Battalion Chief Phil Brown forwarded Bill’s retiring farewell letter addressed to the Tulare Unit to me.* I believe much of his advice and wisdom from the letter bears repeating:
*
Keep your priorities straight, especially at home.
A* CDF Model 5 engine was the best wildland engine ever built.
Call your mother.
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Tell your spouse you love them EVERY day.******************
Someone needs to be thinking about a water supply.
You represent more than yourself when you put on the uniform.
Say your prayers.
Training extends longevity
Talk to your kids.
There's two sides to every story.
Listen more than you speak.
You have to PULL THE CEILINGS to put out an attic fire.
Respect is earned.
Don't let your ego bankrupt you.
Good customer service equals good customer support.
You can't hit bottom until you stop digging
