Question Can you cook?

Felt like having a breakfast sandwich this morning.

So deli cut sourdough bread grilled/toasted with cheese, bacon, turkey sausage, spring mix greens, two eggs over easy with horseradish mustard and French press iced coffee. Happy Sunday

Will post some of the other things I've made later

Fried chicken, honey cornbread, mashed red potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta.

And yes the cornbread was made from scratch no box mix here

Salsa Mexicana

Tamales - I have to include this photo to prove that I really do make the masa all by myself from scratch. 'Cause apparently that's not normal..... LOL

Tamales de Res (Beef Tamales)

Tamales de Res (Beef Tamales)

Tamales de Res (Beef Tamales)

Tamales Dulce de Piņa (Sweet Pineapple Tamales)

Tamales Dulce de Piņa (Sweet Pineapple Tamales)

Pan Dulce (Mexican Sweet Bread)

I have brought the tamale trays to work three times now (two Christmases and once because I lost a bet). I've been told that I make really good tamales for a white girl.

Kitty:

Try adding beef broth to flavor up the masa for the beef tamales.

Of course if you're making chicken and cheese tamales use chicken broth in the masa. Mama won't mind!

Well.....

Then this happened.........

Honey-Glazed Ham

Collard Greens

White rice

Cracklin' Bread (Corn bread with pork cracklin's baked inside. Cracklins are like small, hard pork rinds)

Cracklin' Bread

Black-Eyed Peas

Mac and Cheese (Because I really wanted to put up a good plate and I thought the mac and cheese would up the ante.)

My coworkers said that I couldn't make this meal unless I included grape soda. Well alright then! LOL! I also served with Red Rooster Louisiana Hot Sauce, butter and honey.

Annnnnnnd.....maybe a pecan pie. Or three. I made three.

Tom...seriously?! LOL First of all, there is clearly a cup of beef broth in the photo! Secondly, I use the broth that I reserved after slow-cooking the beef.

Maybe one of these days, you'll get a chance to try them.
