On a fed fire I gold bonded myself after a few days without a shower, it was dark. Briefing was in a gym with good lighting and my pants turned grey and would poof when hit. No problem chaffing though. Lifesaver!

I learned in the Marines that baby wipes can give you a darn good shower! I brought it over to when I was out on fires and it's always been a lifesaver. Always wipe your feet and change your socks. Motrin/Aleve and moleskin are other lifesavers.
