I totally get it. I remember working the 72 for the state. Get a fire day one and the rest of the shift is terrible

I work a 24/48 and its not so bad... Only problem I have with it is any time you need more than two days off in a row you have to burn time, so any trip you may take that you try to have a long weekend you're kinda screwed....

Oakland works 24.48. I was once told the only good part about 24/48 is that since you get hammered for your shift, you get to come home to rest the whole day and the next day is for getting things done.

Not a very good way to live a career if you ask me.

Yea I can defiantly see the downside of the 2 off. Seems rather rough and I would imagine it feels like your at work everyday

I couldn't imagine working a 24 on 48 off schedule. Seems very inconvenient in many ways.

I work a 24/48. We get a kelly day every 10th shift so that's always a great 5 days off.

Naa, its just the old Kelly schedule doubled. If your get an OT, your stuck with a 72 and just 24 off before the next 48 shift.

I like the 48/96 a little better.
