When I worked at Hesperia Fire we were on the 48/96.......85% of the department lived in the High Desert.....and of those, the majority lived within the district boundaries and didn't want anything but the 48/96....no matter how you cut it up...it is still 56 hours a week.

To each there own and will argue from their own perspective.

Is LA County voting on 48-96 again?

Are there any other departments looking into 48-96?

What causes you to ask that question?

Just curious. I know a lot of CA departments are either switching or voting on a trial period and wondering if any others are possibly going to make the change.

I have talked to several of my FF friends with LACoFD and none of them have heard anything about an upcoming 48/96 vote. It has been voted down twice before and I expect things have not changed.
