I know my wife always looked forward to when I would go back to the station after a 4 day not sure what she would be like if there were twice as many 4 days, But on the other hand it seamed like the crap hit the fan when i was gone and she had to handle it because I was at the Station.
We have been married for 42 years with 38 years in the Fire Service

My wife liked my schedule and long fire assignments, said I drove her nuts when I was home. Then this past March, I took an assignment in our ECC, so now I'm home every night and it's drives here a little crazy that I'm always here. She looks forward to my O days in the stations.

My friend works the 48/96 and his wife is an ER-Nurse working 3 12's a week, seems they have the perfect marriage because they barely have time to kill eachother, then again no kids so...
